We are incredibly passionate about telling stories through video. Stories can be told in many different ways in many different mediums, but only video allows you to see, hear and experience the emotion's felt by those on screen in real time.
Video is visceral. That's why we tell stories through video, and our onlly goal with our "Self Shot Cinema" service is to help you tell your story your way.
So here's how it works:
You pick one or two (or five or seven) outgoing friends or family members to capture footage, and we'll rent them a Professional HD Camera kit to tell your story.
After it's all over, we pick up our camera and professionally edit the captured footage into a film that tells your story. After a short wait, we present you with 3 copies of a DVD of your story, complete with custom menus, cover artwork and disk artwork!

The part of video production that takes the longest to do, and is arguably the most difficult to master, is the edit. We at Self Shot Cinema happen to be really good at editing, and we'd be more than happy to help you out with your projects.
If you have a short video you filmed with your friends, clips of your child's first birthday, footage from an anniversary or wedding, or anything else you'd like edited professionally then give us a call! We'd love to hear from you.
Dave, our lead producer and editor, has edited projects for Nascar, the 2012 London Olympic Games and several independent feature films.
Rates for editing our editing services are determined on a project-to-project basis. A few factors that affect our editing rates include the amount of footage, the length of the finished project, and if colour grading is required/wanted. Please contact us for an accurate quote.

My brother Dave and I have been making short films and movies together ever since we got a hold of our first video camera, and we haven't stopped since.
Our passion for video production was the same then as it is now. We just want to tell stories, some fact-based and others completely fictional. We've worked on documentaries, short films, commercials, television programs. We try to tell as many different stories we can in as many genres as we can.
Our goal is to help you tell stories as well. That's why we came up with our "Self Shot CInema" model. We supply the professional camera gear for you and your loved ones to tell a story. Then we edit the footage professionally.
